Retail Displays: Service and Product Displays

Retail displays are created for one main purpose: to market a product or service

There are so many variables to consider when creating the “right” retail display, such as size, style, function, cost, longevity, branding, etc…  Also, there is the “feel” and the “message” of the products or services that need to be incorporated and enhanced by the product displays.

Every product and service is targeted towards a specific audience or consumer, so not all retail displays can be generic. The retail displays need to compliment the products in order to market them to the intended group.

In order to get the” right” look, cost, feel, and functional display that will appeal to the desired audience, we need to use the right medium (wood, metal, plastic) and the right design to make the display enhance the product or service so it markets itself perfectly.  For example, there are many varieties of plastics that can be used to make plastic displays fit in any environment.  We can design plastic displays around price, look, longevity, etc. to fit a multitude of requirements due to the vast amount of plastic options.
